Murals
Lately, I have concluded that fine art and design are much more closely aligned in concept and execution than many in those fields would have one believe. Both are creativity-based commodities that depend upon capitalism for their existence, and even the most experimental artwork, if it is good work, eventually gets commodified in the form of a book, dvd, or museum exhibition, which ultimately is a critical aspect to maintaining its longevity. I am more than willing to divide my energies between my fine art practice and producing commissioned works for private, public, or corporate entities. These collaborations allow me the opportunity to work creatively with people outside of the art world and generate interesting projects that I would not have otherwise envisioned.
