BIC pen

The BIC pen series began with a desire to see if I had the patience to develop a detailed pen drawing at a scale larger than what I′d been working with in my sketchbook, resulting in a 80 hour process on average, for each of the medium-sized pieces. I was also interested in the idea of using a tool that had humble and utilitarian conotations; which made the art-making process of the work accessible to a wider audience.
